Appraiser
Position Responsibilities:
- Inspection, review and appraisal of all property classes with or without supervision
- Inform and assist public with questions including, but not limited to, legal descriptions, credits, exemptions, assessment information and mapping information
- Gather real estate and listing data from various sources to implement into assessment software and produce error-free documentation
- Deliver a positive experience when speaking with individuals at their property and in the courthouse
- Prioritize and manage multiple tasks and projects in an environment of frequent interruptions
- Scheduling and coordinating review appointments
- Accurately comply with guidelines and procedures
- May be asked to oversee the office in the absence of the Assessor and Chief Deputy
- Perform other duties as assigned

Education & Experience Required:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Valid Drivers License
Additional Preferred Experience:
- Previous experience in the Appraisal, Real Estate and/or Construction field(s)
Skills Required:
- Capability to sort, gather and process data quickly when reviewing properties
- Good Problem-solving skills with a high level of attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to adapt to a fast paced, changing work environment and respond well under stress to ensure all deadlines are met
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively with team members
- Good interpersonal skills with a focus on providing a positive experience for property owners
- Ability to maintain confidentiality with sensitive information
- Proficient computer skills and experience working with office equipment, including but not limited to; tablet, laptop, desktop computer, printer/copier, measuring devices, digital camera, adding machine, multi-line phone system
- Fundamental Knowledge of Microsoft Office suite programs
- Ability to read a tape measure and take detailed measurement notes in the field

This position may require flexibility to work additional hours beyond the typical workday when needed. Periodically this position is required to attend meetings and classes that may be located outside of Benton County.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is going to be in an office setting where the noise level is usually moderate. In addition, the employee will be out in the elements conducting property inspections and could be exposed to temperatures varying from extreme heat in the summer to extreme cold in the winter.
