Collections Officer
Position Responsibilities:
- Deliver a positive experience when speaking with individuals with past due accounts
- Detailed note taker to capture conversations and payment arrangements
- Strong telephone negotiation skills to help individuals correct payment delinquencies
- Ability to consistently achieve monthly collection goals
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple responsibilities
- Accurately comply with guidelines and procedures

Education & Experience Required:
- High school Diploma or equivalent
- One-year minimum experience in customer service
- Excellent communication, listening and negotiation skills
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to adapt to a fast-paced environment with positive energy, drive, and determination
Additional Preferred Skills:
- Experience working in a law firm or similar
- Experience working with Electronic Data Management System (EDMS and Iowa Courts online)
- Experience dealing with dispute resolution over the phone is a plus
Skills Required:
- Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality with sensitive information
- Strong problem-solving skills with a high level of attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to adapt to a fast paced, changing work environment and respond well under stress to ensure all deadlines are met
- Be able to work independently
- Have strong computer skills with experience working with Microsoft Word and Excel
