Benton County offers Delta Dental insurance to eligible employees. Premiums are based on the number of regularly scheduled hours an employee works.
Enrolling or Changing Your Plan
Benton County employees have a 30-day window from their date of hire to enroll for dental insurance. Employees also have a 30-day window from the date of a qualifying life event to change their dental policy.
Qualifying life events include:
- A change in your marital status (marriage, divorce, or legal separation)
- Adding a dependent (birth or adoption of a child)
- If you or a covered dependent lose or gain eligibility for coverage
- The death of a covered dependent
Please contact Human Resources within 30 days if a qualifying event takes place and you'd like to make changes to your dental policy. If the 30-day deadline is missed, changes cannot be made until open enrollment or another qualifying life event takes place.
Employees can modify their dental plan during spring open enrollment each year.
